Quick Pay

The Quick Pay service can accept most of the commonly used methods of payment that customers will expect to be able to use. These include all the most commonly available credit and debit cards, such as all the different formats which use the Visa or MasterCard brand. Both of the internationally famous charge card brands are included too, namely American Express and Diners Club. In addition, the most commonly used method of e-payment can also be accepted, as PayPal is also provided in the suite of acceptable methods. Finally, it also accepts payments from several European based banks. One of these, Danske Bank, enables payments directly by mobile phone, via its MobilePay service. Idf you sign up for this, your purchases are billed directly to your regular mobile service provider. You then pay via your regular monthly mobile bill.

The service is extremely secure and employs specific measures to try to restrict the likelihood of fraudulent transactions so that, as a customer, you can be sure that your money and your personal banking details are safe. Security is taken care of by ensuring that the service conforms to the international data security standard (DSS) insisted on by the Payment Card Industry (PCI). This means that your personal financial data, such as credit card number must be securely held, and especially sensitive information, such as your card security code (on your signature strip) are not stored at all. This is to ensure that this information cannot be accessed, even if the host website is hacked into or otherwise illegally accessed (by unauthorised internal employee activity, for example).

Purchase security is further enhanced by the use of 3D Secure technology. This is frequently used for online purchases, where customers are referred on to an additional security page before purchases are authorised. Here, the customer is asked for a personal password which is not printed on the card at all in order to complete the transaction.

In addition, specifically designed software is employed to look out for patterns which may indicate fraudulent activity. Payments are analysed to check for indications which may arouse suspicion: for example if a credit card is unexpectedly being used out of the holder’s home country, or unusual patterns of use (a sudden large purchase in an unusual location, for example).

All these measures are designed to ensure that data breaches and theft of customer data are minimised. In addition to the obvious serious costs to the customers and businesses concerned, such breaches have a serious effect on overall confidence in trust in the affected businesses, and the banking system in general. All this means that if any trader or online company is using the Quick Pay system, you can be assured that your payments and personal data are as secure as they possibly can be.
